Biograhy
Edward Cullen (born Edward Anthony Masen) is a fictional character in the impressive Twilight series written byStephanie Myers. The character is featured in the latest Twilight film along with the series of books: Twilight, Eclipse, New Moon and Breaking Dawn.
Edward Cullen was born on June 20th 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1918 at the age of seventeen Edwards’s life changed forever. A strain of Spanish Influenza swept across the American state, claiming the lives of both of Edward’s parents. His mothers dying wish was for Carlisle Cullen a visiting doctor, to save Edward, who had now found himself battling the deadly disease.
Dr Cullen knew that the only way to save Edward would be to transform him into a vampire! Since the transformation, Edward passed as Dr Carlisle’s adopted son, attending medical school and acting like a ‘normal’ teenager to fit in.
From 1927 through to 1931, Edward became a typical rebellious teenager moving away from Carlisle and his family. The young vampire believed it was OK to drink the blood of humans so long as they were truly evil, using his special gift: mind reading to avoid the innocent. Edward eventually realised the error of his ways and couldn’t carry on taking human lives to fulfil his thirst for blood! He returned to Carlisle and Esme who believe in taking animal blood instead of humans to fulfil their desires.
Carlisle continued to transform humans who were close to death who all become part of the Cullen family, known amongst over vampires as a coven
